Equivalency

The equivalency is designed to accommodate courses that are similar, such as those with identical content but differing in mode of training, TGS number, or course code.

To configure and manage equivalent course groups, go to Course > Equivalence configuration and then refer to the following sections.

*Note: Course coordinator can only view equivalency records that belong to their own department.

Create an equivalent course groups

To create equivalent course groups, complete the steps below:

1.   On the Equivalence configuration page, click Create.

2.   In the Create equivalent course group panel, enter the name of the equivalent course group, and then click Add course to add equivalent courses to this group.

*Note: The course coordinator can view and select any course in their department, regardless of status. After clicking Save, the equivalency record’s dept/units sync with those of the chosen courses.

3.   After finishing the configurations, click Save.

Manage equivalent course groups

Apart from creating equivalent course groups, the following functionalities are available in this module:

    Edit – Select a group and click Edit to modify the courses in an equivalent group.

    Import – Click Import. Then, you will be able to create multiple groups in bulk by completing and uploading an import template.

    Export – Click Export to download existing groups into an Excel file to your local device.

    Activate – Select a deactivated group and click Activate.

    Deactivate – Select an active group and click Deactivate.
